Silver Dollar Saloon extra! by Paty Jager

Want to learn more about Beau Gentry the owner of the Silver Dollar Saloon in my series of that name? If you read the first book in the series, Savannah, I hope you became as interested in Beau as I did writing the book. He is Savannah's half brother who takes in battered and destitute women.  My short story in the Wild Deadwood Reads Anthology, Saving Dallie, shows the side of Beau that makes him so appealing.

When the other authors who are sponsoring the VIP Rodeo package at the Wild Deadwood Reads event this June in Deadwood, SD came up with the idea for an anthology to help a cause, I jumped at the chance. That all the stories in the book had be set in or around Deadwood was another plus. Beau's saloon is in Shady Gulch, Dakota Territory, about 200 miles northeast of Deadwood along the Northern Pacific Railroad. But I could put Beau and his partner Jules Mathieu in Deadwood and did.

All 17 short stories in the anthology are set in Deadwood. Some are historical, some contemporary and some bring back ghosts of the old west. It is a great set of stories based in Deadwood.
