Howdy! Yep, that right there should give you a clue where I'm from (this said in my best southern drawl of course). Not only am I from Texas, but I'm also from Bryan/College Station where we learn right quick to say howdy as all good fighting Aggies do.

I'm very pleased to be a part of Cowboy Kisses because my soul has always felt grounded in the ole west. I come from a long line of Texans who carved their way in the harsh terrain. One of my great grandfathers owned a saloon and was murdered there when a disagreement broke out with some of his customers. Another great grandfather raised cotton. My husband's relatives crossed the entire state of Texas in a covered wagon to land in the panhandle.

Because of my rich heritage, I can't help but write stories that showcase the trials and tribulations our forefathers faced on a daily basis. And while not all of my stories are historical westerns, I think the heroes from my other stories possess the same qualities that make readers crave cowboys and the women who tamed them.

I cannot say enough good things about this book. It just blew me away. Such heartache turned into such promise. The three-dimensional secondary characters tell more than just the story of Sarah and Tabor. I can only hope for a chance to see some of them in their own story. The Brass Token in this story means one thing, but becomes a symbol of something else. You must read this story. It will touch you to the core. Kudos Ms. Gold on a riveting good book!
