Mostly, we spend the day avoiding about thinking of all the work we have to do the next day. It's a relief to have the holiday hustle and bustle over and done with, and I'm happy to have the kids back in school, but wish Mr R could stay home. My website needs updated! I think it's because our Christmas was so different. I did buy the can, though. Does that count? Since I had the flu this year, we ended up with French bread Pizza, which gave me severe heartburn that night. I think I'll stick to the pork roast from now on. New Year's Day is a quiet day for us, too. But we usually spend New Year's Eve with the kids. We started the evening out with them, but left early because I lost my voice and didn't feel well. I was in bed by 11. Not the way I wanted to end the old year, let alone ring in the new one. I love the excitement of watching ball drop. Thanks for sharing all the different traditions. I prefer to stay in...hubby is usually in bed by 10:00 and I do my own thing and wait until the fireworks die down and then go to bed. When I was younger, I wanted to be out with the crowds, driving and celebrating...now I'm just thankful for another year. But where did 2013 go? Seems like just yesterday I was in awe of how quickly 2012 whizzed by. Hold on tight...it'll be 2015 before we know it. :) Thanks for the interesting post.
Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09683064637626718318noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4152821032321828999.post-27250498152117850642014-01-02T11:28:24.589-08:002014-01-02T11:28:24.589-08:00I like to have a quiet New Year's Day. Not a lot of eating- and no visitors. :) After the holidays I consider it my day of relaxing before going back to work.

What an interesting post!
