Christmas Magic!

My precious Great-granddaughter Silvia decided to start her tradition of making Christmas goodies early in life, and boy, did we have a ball! Moments like this is where Christmas magic is created. the smells of fresh baked cookies, rolling out the dough and then cutting them out with an array of different cookie cutters of stars, snowmen, santa, and the gingerbread man are some examples, and then decorating the sugar cookies with icing and sprinkles after they are baked and cooled. More Chrismas magic comes with going to the tree Farm and picking the tree out, then carting it home and decorating it with the whole family using new and cherished old ornaments. When my children were young I would buy them a new Hallmark ornament each year that they were allowed to open on Christmas Eve and add to the tree. The ornaments were put away in seperate boxes and given to each child as they grew up and moved out on their own. My favorite ornaments are the ones my children and grandchildren have made me. My family loves the lights and decorationas, so, packing up our vehicles with mugs of hot cocoa and treats and then driving around are neigorhoods is a yearly tradition. Sometimes, more than once a year. The kids like to make homemade cards to give to the residents of the top ten decoations they decide on. It is heartwarming how happy these cards make the home owners and to witness the happy smiles and hear the silly laughter of my grandchildren as they race back to the car. Shopping, singing to carols, watching Christmas movies, reading Christmas books together is also part of the Christmas magic. In conclusion in all my years spent on this earth the one thing I am positive about is Christmas magic doesnt come from a box it comes from time spent with loved ones. A touch, a smile, laughter, a smell, a memory. Merry Christmas and the happiest of New Years! xoxoxo And remember Jesus is the reason for the season! Here is my collection of holiday books if you need any last minute ideas.

Thank you, Reggi, she has my heart in her little hands. Her mother my granddaughter Michelle was the same way.
