My ninth-grade teacher Mrs. Neff told us we should buy books. My dad had shelves of books, and my mother read novels usually from the library. When she died, I found notebooks with the names of the books she’d read.
So, I bought paperbacks, and for years I moved them from house to house. Then, in mid-2000s, Amazon and other retailers gave us the ebook! OMG! My addiction took on a new life. Buy now with 1-Click ® was too easy! Can I say my compulsion continued?
My TBR pile grows, often daily. The Kindle app on my iPad shows I’ve started reading seven books but haven’t finished them yet. To say the least, I get distracted and find another book that catches my interest.

Hi Jan: I don't have a preference as to paperback vs. ebook. Both are fine with me. Back in the 90's, I read a lot and had a lot of books, but downsized when I ran out of room on the bookshelves. Looking back, some of them I wish I had kept.
I am the same as you, Jan. I still have paperbacks in boxes from my last move 2 years ago, but my Kindle is overloaded. I do prefer ebooks now because I can take them anywhere and I can adjustthe letter size and font, but I am at times a little bit click crazy.
