Welcome 2024 ~ Julie Lence

Hello Cowboy Kisses! As the cowgirls and I usher out 2023 and ring in the new year, we thank you for your continued support of this blog. Without you, none of this would be possible.

2023 was a good year for the cowgirls. Several released new stories and some won awards for their work. We said goodbye to a few authors and welcomed their replacements. Readers and authors both had a blast at the Round-Up party and the cowgirls look forward to hosting another Round-Up in 2024, mostly likely in early November. If November seems too far off for you to catch up with the cowgirls, you can always find them on the Cowboy Kisses Facebook page. The group is a great way to stay up-to-date with them, and Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday offer prompts for everyone to chime in. If you haven’t already joined us, please do.

As always, I will keep you informed of any changes during the year. More importantly, I wish all of you a very happy and blessing-filled 2024. Hugs!

Cowboy Kisses Welcomes 2022 ~ Julie Lence

Greetings Cowboy Kisses Readers and welcome to 2022! I hope your holiday season was merry and bright. Mine differs very little from year to year. It’s just hubby, kiddo, Harley and me, (most of our family reside in New York State) and with kiddo older, it’s a joy to not have to get up at 4 a.m. Christmas morning. I have finally convinced him to sleep in. And Harley sleeps until he hears me get up. I’m hoping 2022 will see him healthy and back to his normal, long walks. (For those who don’t know, Harley was at the groomer Halloween weekend and decided to jump out of the tub after the gal finished bathing him. He caught his back paw on some sort of a ramp and cut his toe and pad and required stitches and a lengthy time in keeping quiet.)

Harley

Harley’s foot healing isn’t the only thing I’m looking forward to in 2022. Cowboy Kisses is an honor to manage and I’m excited for another prosperous year. Most of our authors have been with us for a spell, but if you missed announcements last year, we do have two new authors, Lynn Landes and Lianna Hawkins. Be sure to take a look at their author pages to get to know them better and to connect with them on their social media pages. And be sure to connect with Cowboy Kisses on our Facebook group. Everyone is invited to join in each week and enjoy a laugh with Tuesday Humor, gain a little bit of inspiration on Wednesday Writing, and to step back into the past with Vintage Thursday. You can also participate in Question Tuesday, share what you’re currently reading on Read Wednesday, and tell others something about you on Tattle Thursday.  If you’re a western romance author, you’re invited to share new releases on Monday and Friday and older works on the weekends.

Last year, the Cowboy Kisses authors had a great time hosting their annual Round-Up. The Cowgirls will again host Round-Up this year, most likely during one of the autumn months. Information regarding the Round-Up will come later this year. Until then, I encourage you to stay current with the Cowgirls by either following them on their social media pages and connecting with them on the Facebook group page. I’m sure some of them will have new releases that you won’t want to miss. As always, if you have any questions or are a western romance author and would like to feature a new release on the blog, please don’t hesitate to contact me at julie@julielence.com

Hugs, and I hope 2022 is good to everyone!

Welcome to Cowboy Kisses 2021 ~ Julie Lence

Greetings Cowboy Kisses readers!

Despite all the rules and social distancing Covid has brought to our lives, I hope everyone had a wonderful 2020 holiday season.  For me, the holidays weren’t much different than past holidays. It’s usually hubby, kiddo, and me since most of our family reside in New York, unless you count the real Christmas tree. We haven’t had a real tree in 30 years because I hate the mess from the needles, but hubby and kiddo wanted one so I gave in. (I really had little choice since Fed Ex delivered a tree stand from Amazon, lol.)  But now that the celebrations are behind us and the decorations are put away, I’m ready to dive back in to writing, and part of that includes Cowboy Kisses.

In 2020, Cowboy Kisses said goodbye to some authors and welcomed others. Currently, we have tremendous talent on this blog and I urge you to get to know our team better by checking out their author pages.

In other news, if you haven’t already, I invite you to join our Facebook group. Membership there grows almost weekly, and everyone enjoys the Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday prompts for all members to participate. Our Facebook link is: https://www.facebook.com/groups/CowboyKisses

We’re also on Twitter and you can catch our tweets here: https://twitter.com/CowboyKisses1

The Cowboy Kisses authors will continue with Excerpt Sunday, which is also located on our Facebook page. We will also host our annual round-up this fall. Last year we held the round up on our Facebook page and it was a success. Unlike the previous year, guests were able to comment without encountering Facebook issues, so we will again hold this year’s party on the group page. And last, but certainly the best, the Cowboy Kisses blog passed over 1,000,000 hits in 2020 since it’s conception. That is a thrilling milestone and one we certainly couldn’t have reached without you, our loyal readers. The Cowboy Kisses authors and myself Thank You for your support and your loyalty, and we look forward to sharing another year with you.

Hugs,

Julie

Welcome to 2020 By: Julie Lence

Hello & Welcome to Cowboy Kisses 2020. I hope everyone had a blessed Christmas celebration and a joyful New Year’s Eve celebration. Both of mine were quietly spent with hubby, kiddo, and Harley, who enjoyed the treats Santa left in his Christmas stocking. With today marking the beginning of a new year, and decade, it’s time for me to bring you up to date with the Cowboy Kisses team.
First off, you’ll notice our mascot has a new banner. I love the blue hues and think the scenery represents all of the Cowboy Kisses authors' stories.
Second, you’ll notice we’ve said goodbye to Maggie Carpenter and Lauri Robinson. The team and I wish them all the best in their future endeavors. Lauri was alternating months with Paty Jager. Danni Roan will now take over Lauri’s shared spot with Paty beginning this month. As soon as Danni’s old slot and Maggie’s slot are filled, I will let you know.
We do have a new author to Cowboy Kisses. Please welcome Sable Hunter to the team. She’ll begin blogging this month. I invite you to get to know more about Sable by visiting her website. The link is located on the right side bar.
In addition to recruiting authors, I’ve updated this page to reflect our Twitter feed, so be sure to see what the Cowgirls are Tweeting each day. Excerpt Sunday has been incorporated into the Facebook group and readers like stepping into the pages of the Cowgirls’ stories. And as always, the Facebook group has prompts for everyone to participate on Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday.
This year we will host our 6th annual Round-Up. Time and date will be announced later in the year, but I’m thinking some time in November. To let you know, this past year Facebook was very wonky with allowing folks to post comments to the party. And it just wasn’t the Cowboy Kisses party that had this problems. Others did, too, and I’m hoping Facebook corrects the issue before this year’s round-up.
In closing, I thank the Cowboy Kisses Team for their continued support of the blog and group pages and me. Without them, Cowboy Kisses would’ve ceased to exist a long time ago. I also thank each and every one of You for your continued support of the Cowboy Kisses blog and its authors. Hugs to everyone and all the best in 2020!

Welcome 2019

Greetings! Can you believe another year has ended? 2018 kept the Cowboy Kisses authors busy publishing blogs on a variety of topics related to the western genre. Some of our authors were also busy celebrating the release of a new western romance. And, as in previous years, Cowboy Kisses bid farewell to old friends and said hello to new comrades. Please give a warm welcome to Maggie Carpenter, Ginger Chambers, Rhonda Frankhouser, Doris McCraw, Jacqui Nelson, Danni Roan, and Wilhelmina Stolen. Each are talented and well-known authors within the western romance community and are sure to strike a connection with you via the blogs they write. I invite you to get to know them better by visiting their author pages located on the right toolbar.
2018 also saw a few other changes to our routine. Due to personal reasons needing my attention throughout the year, this was the 1st year since I’ve taken over the reins that I was unable to host the annual Facebook party. Not to worry, we will have one this year! Also, I spent a few months away from the blog and the Facebook group and extend my heartfelt gratitude to Shann Hatfield and Kristy McCaffrey for taking over in my absence. I also thank Andrea, Paty, Robyn, Patti, Nan, Lauri, and Stephanie for their continued support of me and Cowboy Kisses. Cowboy Kisses is a group effort and I couldn’t do it without any of them. Lastly, I thank you, our followers. Without you Cowboy Kisses wouldn’t exist.
As 2019 unfolds, I wish our authors continued success in their endeavors, to, no doubt, include more sexy, handsome cowboys for everyone to swoon over. And I wish all of you health, happiness and prosperity. Happy New Year Cowboy Kisses!
