Q1: Mischief, can you tell our readers a little about yourself?
Mischief: Sure thing! Folks call me Mischief for a reason—I’ve never been one to follow rules just because they’re there. Life on the Clayton ranch suits me; the wide-open spaces and the thrill of taming wild horses keep my restless soul busy. I may get into trouble now and then, but my loyalty to my chosen family runs deep.
Q2: Hunter, what is your role on the ranch, and how would you describe your relationship with Mischief?
Hunter: I’m the foreman at Clayton Ranch. My job is to keep things running smooth, whether that means settling disputes or making sure we get the harvest in on time. Mischief and I? We’re as different as night and day, but we’ve learned to rely on each other. She has got a way of seeing things I sometimes miss, and I try to keep her grounded.
Q3: What makes the path you both travel in the book "forbidden"?
Mischief: There are rules in this town—written and unwritten. Sometimes, love and loyalty mean breaking those rules, even if it puts you at odds with everyone else. Hunter and I had to choose between what was expected and what felt right in our hearts.
Hunter: It’s not easy, going against the grain. We faced threats, misunderstandings, even danger. But the bonds we formed along the way are stronger than any fence or boundary.
Q4: What do you hope readers take away from your story?
Mischief: I hope folks see that courage isn’t just about-facing enemies—it’s about being true to yourself, even when the world says you’re wrong.
Hunter: And that sometimes family is chosen, not born. The people who stand with you in hard times matter most.
