Howdy
I’d like to give a big ole western howdy to the
fillies at Cowboy Kisses and thank them for inviting me to join this group. As
a history nerd, the American west is an infinite sources of wonderful stories
whether its present day or historical.

Somewhere in my mother’s things is a picture of me,
at the age of two, seated upon a pony with a huge French bonnet and a frilly
dress. Needless to say, jeans and boots soon followed along with a horse of my
own. Sussan was a half Arabian, half hackney pony that I owned for 28 years.
She was my pride and joy. When my father purchased a second horse, we sort of
figured that the neighbors wouldn’t take kindly to two four footed critters in
a fifty foot back yard. So off we moved
to the wilds of western Tidewater, Virginia.
Today, our farm consists of two horses, a black
Angus cow, two cats, four dogs, thirteen chickens, and a whole lot of fun. Some
of my animals may turn up in my stories. But, mostly, they provide me with down
time when work gets too much or I need to brainstorm a plot twist.<br>
I write contemporary and historical western
romances. My contemporaries are written under my name, Nan O’Berry. My
historical works are written under Tessa Berkley. I write for Prairie Rose
Publications and The Wild Rose Press.

shame. Can he put away the ghost of Gillian's mother to follow the rules of the

keep him from proposing?
With true love at stake, there’s
only one thing for sure—in this real life fairy tale, PRINCE CHARMING WORE
SPURS—and it’s going to take some powerful magic to ensure a “happily ever
