Hello, it's lovely to meet you!
If that didn’t sound too cowboy-ish it may
be because I’m from a rural county in England, and we don’t have any cowboys
over here. I was recently asked in a radio interview ‘how can you possibly
write about cowboys when you’re British?’ I get that a lot, actually. My reply:
‘the same way that sci-fi authors write but don’t live on the moon; we research
the subject and then use our imagination.’
I actually live on a farm in the
Shropshire countryside, so I am used to seeing farm hands at work—though, I
have to admit they don’t look anything like the cowboys in my books! I am very
family-orientated, and have three daughters, a son-in-law, two grandchildren,
two step-children, as well as five sisters and a brother. It’s never quiet in
our house!
My characters are family-driven, too, as I
think it’s an important part of life. I also believe in honesty, respect and
manners. No one is perfect, so I don’t make my characters that way; it’s their
faults than make them real – and maybe a little more likeable!
I have written six sweet cowboy romances
so far, with another four already planned. My series is based around three
billionaire cowboy brothers, and their pursuit of happiness. The next series,
which I’ve already started writing, focuses on their cousins, who aren’t as
affluent, and have formed a band, as well as helping on their family ranch. Finding
a girl is no problem for these handsome hunks; it’s finding the girl that proves difficult.
I’ve been writing for publication since 2013
and have so far had thirty-three novels and five novellas published. Most of my
work is traditionally published, but all of my sweet cowboy romances are
self-published, as I wanted to have more control on their release dates and
sales, which you don’t get with a traditional publisher. I write in different
genres under three pen-names, so there’s never a dull moment!
Thank you for taking the time to get to know me a little; feel free to hop over to any of my social media profiles for a chat. I can’t wait to learn more about you!
